Changing the Debate: No, the Poor Aren’t Okay — And It’s Not ALL About The Middle Class
I’m not saying this election is any different than any other, but that doesn’t make it any less demoralizing. Every politician, no matter the party, talks ad infinitum about the middle class, while the very wealthy wield a disproportionate amount of political power (disproportionate to their size of the population, not to the size of their wallets), and the poor are almost totally forgotten. When everyone votes their own self interest or ambitions, we can get a very ugly outcome from U.S. democracy. But instead of making you read my rambling musings on the injustice of it all, I’ve brought a couple friends to tell you what’s what…
Elon James White joins the Actually… the truth matters team to take on the poor, sharks, and Mitt Romney.
Jasiri X has created a powerful new video for the Hoodie Vote project, urging us all to not forget about the hood.

Well yes. As long as I’ve been old enough to understand, we have all pretty much voted in our own interest… we’ll succeed at tweaking (or completely restructuring) the system to be more fair long before we evolve to the point of voting for the common welfare.
